Biodiversity & Wine Initiative

The Biodiversity & Wine Initiative (BWI) is a collaboration between conservation bodies and participating wineries to preserve indigenous habitats.

Participating wineries are committed to conserve the land they are farming. This includes water conservation, erosion control and alien vegetation clearing.

There are currently 175 BWI member farms, 17 producing cellars and 29 champions registered. Member farms also farm according to the IPW guidelines.
